What to do in the ten minutes that decide whether a damage claim is possible.
Whether a damage claim is possible is usually decided in the few
minutes before you sign the delivery receipt.
Before the truck arrives
Know how the load is coming off. Know where it is going once it is off. Have a phone ready
to photograph.
At the moment of delivery
Look at the load before you sign anything.
If there is visible damage, write it on the delivery receipt then and there.
Photograph the damage and the receipt with the note on it.
A signature on a clean receipt is a statement that the load arrived intact. Once it is
given, there is no record to support a transit claim.
After delivery
Report transit damage within 48 hours of delivery, with
the photographs and the noted receipt. Report a wrong or missing load within
30 days. We respond within
3 business days. Full terms are on the
claims page.
What a claim cannot cover
The contents themselves. Condition, function and count are disclosed as mixed, untested and
approximate before you order, so they are not a basis for a claim.

Every listing states the lot type, the approximate count and the condition basis before you buy.
